Search Marketing Services

Research

Generate Keywords and Competition Lists

  • Research on domains, pages and keywords.
    • A look at your domain and competitors to see the top organic and paid keywords.
    • Semantic analysis of key pages.
    • Ranking of keywords and related keywords.
  • AdWords Research – Queries the Google collective to research what words people are willing to spend money for and then using that knowledge for both organic (and optionally paid search*).
  • SEMRush – Use estimates from SEMRush’s paid services to learn the value of search terms.
  • WordTracker – Another paid research service that provides data for keyword ideas and estimated traffic volumes.

Link Building

  • Locate websites that are the most important in a link building campaign. Analyze results with various tools and add them to our pursue list.
  • Explore backlinks to see who is currently linking to your site as well as who is linking to competitor sites.
  • Quality control to eliminate sites not trusted by search engines. Some competitors may have listings that are undesirable. Research will remove these from our list to pursue. Link sites are then prioritized based on their value for our goals.

Management

Link Building

  • Links are moved from Research to Management. Statuses are assigned to links as we begin to obtain listings. Statuses can include Submitted, Accepted, Changed, etc. Changed you say? Yes, monitoring the status of a link is also important to see if the site has changed links to no follow, edited anchor text, or some other change that impacts your site rankings.
  • Contact management helps track contacts made to obtain listings. This is tied into the status reporting and monitoring of valuable links.
  • Maintenance of a web site directory to avoid duplication in marketing efforts. Because the research step above is often repeated, we don’t want to waste time researching a site that we already have enough links on. Certain sites can be flagged as never having enough links because of the nature of the listing site. (This would include large content sites that constantly obtain new material.)

Social Media

  • Monitor social media activity for Facebook and Twitter including your brand. Multiple monitors available.
  • Provide a social marketing system account to make social marketing easy. May incur and additional fee per user.
  • Optional packages include more features and more services where we manage content for you as well. Ask about these options for a customized social marketing plan that fits your business model.

Ranking

  • Keywords sorting and prioritizing. Keyword are added to the ranking database during all stages of the project. All keyword data is housed in the central ranking system.
  • Competition tracking watches how your competitors are doing in their marketing efforts.
  • Tags organize the keyword, competition and event data pulling it all together for simplified sorting and analysis. This is what makes this ranking system work. Old style ranking tells very little because of the way search engines handle customized searches. Proper tagging and analysis ties important data together and provides a more meaningful data set.

Event Manager

  • We set up campaign events and monitor the results on your website traffic. An event could include a redesign, email newsletter, print ad, conference, etc. The event is tracked using SERP Tracker, Google Analytics, Piwik, Facebook and Twitter results. (Piwik only is available on lower priced packages.)

Content

  • Content analysis for selected web page content shows you the age level you have written for, frequency and density of keywords along with the score and suggestions to improve site rankings. Keyword listing provided based on keyword research. Your package will determine how many analysis per month. The base package includes one page per month. You can purchase additional page analysis rather than moving to a larger package. A report is emailed after each completed analysis.
  • Blog analysis allows us to examine blog pages/articles and score content. You are provided with a report showing your score and suggestions to improve content. We will also provide a list of tags/keywords based on keyword research. Your package will determine how many analysis per month. The base package includes one page per month. You can purchase additional page analysis rather than moving to a larger package. A report is emailed after each completed analysis.
  • Content Creation services. For an additional fee, we will have a professional author create search ready content for your chosen topic(s).

Monitor

  • SERP Tracking dives deep into the data and let’s us track a keyword’s page growth over time for several countries. A side by side comparison with competitors is run as well.
  • Social media monitoring is available for Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and a host of others so you know who’s talking about you. This is in addition to the tools found in the social marketing system package. Here we kick it up a notch by assigning positive, neutral and negative statuses to each link to track sentiment over time.
  • KnowEm is an optional paid service that helps protect your brand on social networks. There are hundreds of them and doing this manually is a genuine burden. This service helps grab those account names before someone else does. This is an add on service that has a one-time fee associated with it.
  • Email monitoring watches how people are responding to your newsletter. This system only works with selected services so we’ve set it as an extra only billing those that can utilize it. The advantage here is the ability to integrate certain services into our services and reporting tools.
  • Google Analytics integrated into our acquired data. (We’ll need access if you have a current account, otherwise we’ll set one up for you.) This integration makes for one stop reporting and ties our work in nicely with Google’s data.

Reports

  • Automated reports that give you the level of detail you want. Not everyone wants 250 pages of data every month and certainly not every week. We’ll trim down the data to the critical points and have it emailed automatically to you. Tell us if it’s too much or too little.
  • Ask for all the details under the sun once in a while. It’s all there for the taking.
  • Want your logo on the reports? We can even do that.

New services will be added and old tired ones retired as the search market continues to evolve.
